Why do we have to sit through all that T20 and one day nonsense before the proper cricket starts in AUGUST? Should be the other way round surely.

I think it’s better for the preparation for the Tests to have the white ball stuff first to allow some time for players to get a bit of a warm up.
The visitors that is
Too many Test series see the visitors unprepared for Test 1
